Don't Step On The Couture!

I really haven't been posting my dolls lately, just because I don't have time to photograph them anymore. I have been selling some, and buying some, so it comes and goes and keeps its balance. I had the opportunity to buy one of those Superdoll Tattoo dolls, but the opportunity went away when I could in no way afford the high price tag. I am proud of myself for not giving into temptation. Instead I used the money towards condo stuff. I did buy a special limited edition Sybarite, but I'll have to save her talk for another thread. For now, I'll show my latest acquisitions:

The doll pictured here is a Sybarite that was painted by Cheryl Danielle Bell. She's the one who I own 2 Sybarite repaints from already. I love her work and I remember LOVING this girl when she was on ebay for the first go around. I didn't bid since she was out of my price range, and I have wanted her since. Cheryl did some amazing blushing on her body and she looks very lifelike. She's painted as a sleeping doll, which I find truly unique. The color pallette that Cheryl used was perfect. Basically, she was on ebay as the first buyer decided he did not want her. I won her for less than she originally sold for, plus I won her with a free wig and clothing, so I got a great buy.

The outfit in the photo is not what she came with though. The outfit in the pic is called Cacophobia and is an extreme limited edition outfit by Superdoll. As it turns out, right when I sent my lunchcount at school, I get the Superdoll email (Subscribed my work email, hehe) and I was able to jump online and get it. It sold out in minutes. I have been selling a lot of my Superdoll clothing, but only because they are higher edition outfits that aren't as rare and are factory produced. Due to space issues and also wanting to be more smarter with spending, I have come to the realization that I can't own ALL of Superdoll's things. So my answer is to keep and only buy the rare stuff, and sell the rest. I decided to concentrate most of my efforts on the limited editions of 30 and under (outfits like Cacophobia). These are the ones that are made by hand by Charles and Desmond, so they are truly special works of art. I love the feel of the fabrics and the way they are made with such detail, so I think its best I just stick to the ones I like the most.

I decided to keep a few separates here and there of the high edition outfits and use those for basic dollplay:

I LOVE group pics! From left to right is Venus by Steph Clearwater, and then we have Coma, Viris, and Sai (all by Cheryl Danielle Bell).
