No, sir, I don't like it.

So, like... I was browsing VAA, just looking at what kind of projects have been popping up over the last few months. Just "catching up" a little. I find this audition thread for a Puella Magi Madoka Magica fandub. In the thread, the project starter/producer/OP/whatever say they HATE the official dub with Christine Marie and Cristina Vee. Okay, fair enough. I've only seen clips and bits of the dub audio, so I can't really judge. So the person is stating that he/she can do a better job, let's save this awesome anime, etc. Okay, if you say so.

He/She then has the character audition lines, accompanied by a picture of the character and a description of what kind of voice would be befitting. There's a note besides Homura and Kyoko's characters, saying that the OP might cast male voices for these two.

ಠ_ಠ

With this, sir/madam, any credibility you had was shot out of the sky like a hunted duck, and you have no business saying you can do better yourself if you had the audacity to let those words leave your keyboard.

No, sir, I don't like it.

Now, it'd be different if he/she had stated sure, guys can audition, as there actually might be a guy around these parts that can pull off a convincing female voice. But the OP didn't say male actor might be used. He/She said a male voice might be used, simply because Homura and Kyoko's voices are the "lowest in the dub." (Uh, if we're talking about the Japanese audio, Homura's is generally the lowest, but Kyoko is just a tomboy-ish medium pitch. I think Mami has a slightly lower voice pitch than Kyoko, TBQH.)

Yep, his/her credibility is definitely shot.

..., voice acting, watchu talkin bout willis, facepalm
