30 Days until Valentine's Day
Sometimes, our relationship feels like we are still in the "honeymoon phase" .... even though, in reality, we never even had one. We went from strangers to lovers to living in a house with three children in a matter of months. There was never a time when we were spoiled with only each other. Yet, despite the unconventional nature of our relationship, she still finds ways to make it feel brand new. She still manages to stir up the butterflies inside of me.
I found this card this morning, after she left for work. At first, I thought I had screwed up and accidentally opened the card she planned to give me on Valentine's Day. But then, I noticed the handwritten note in an ink that almost blended into the background.
I have no idea what this card is a prelude to ... but knowing my Monica the way I do, I figure she has something romantic and exciting planned.
Most guys would roll their eyes at a Valentine's Day card received on January 16th. But I melted.
She is the most amazing woman, and I hope she comprehends just how lucky I am that she is mine.
