Rough few days.
Something is growing, blooming, or rotting ... and my immune system is over-reacting to it in such a severe way, I'm pretty sure I'd be better off if it were lethal. My head is stuffed to capacity with snot, my eyes are solid red and induce the desire to scratch them right out of their sockets, and my throat feels like I swallowed steel wool. Until now, I haven't had a single allergic reaction since starting my regiment of Allegra back in April ..... but the medication is like a mosquito hitting a freight train against this.
Oh, and my mother and sister told me they wouldn't be coming to my wedding. That kind of sucks. Apparently, seven months notice isn't enough time for them to get time off from work. Hmmmm...my mom has been a high school secretary for 14 years, and is good friends with the principal. My sister volunteers with the Smoke Busters and takes graduate classes. I have this little feeling that work is an excuse, and the real reason they won't come is that they don't want me to marry Monica and they are too fucking immature to deal with it.
I contemplated writing on their Facebook walls: "What would Jesus do?"
Last night, we took the kids to "Movie In The Park" ..... the film was MegaMind and it was actually quite enjoyable. The kids had a couple pepperoni pizzas from Little Ceasar's, and Monica and I had Subway. I was surprised by how cool and breezy it was ..... actually felt like Fall was upon us. It was a nice evening, aside from a few mosquito bites and the incessant itching of the eyes.
Now I need to finish building a website, and launching another. As much as I hate this feeling that I need to work, I really don't think it's going to pass. So I might as well get to it...
