So...um...yeah. I haven't posted in like FOREVER. And now probably isn't the best time, seeing as how I'm a lil tipsy and completely pissed off, but seeing as how I'm on-line and have resolved not to do the reading for class tomorrow, now seems like a good time.

Fist things first--the best things about England are:
1. CURRY (yeah, I've put on half a stone!)
2. The peeps--how accepting they are of difference.
3. The fact that I accomplished more here in 3 months than I could in 5 years in the States.
4. Seeing real life foxes by the train tracks.
5. The NHS when you're not REALLY sick and don't want preventative medicine.
6. The English countryside.
7. Thatched roof cottages.
8. Real life castles and palaces.
9. How the chimneys make you start singing along with Mary Poppins.
10. The accent (which I barely hear anymore).
11. Kronenberg Blanc (not as nice when you puke it up)
12. Packs of 10s.
13. Marie.
14. The C of E (or at least St. Matthews)
15. The phrase "I can't be bothered"
16. The phrase "I can't be asked."
17. All the Jane Austen-esque architecture
18. Jane Austen.
19. Proper tea at Harrods.
20. Full English Breakfasts!

On the contrary, Salad Cream and brown sauce are WELL disturbing.

Clearly, the above is in no particular order and Gav and his family are just assumed.

So, updates. Hmm...let's see...
Gav and I ARE ENGAGED!!!! And planning the wedding for around the first week of October 2009 (to be confirmed after talking with the vicar and booking the venue).
I HATE my programme at UCL, but it has taught me two very valuable lessons: 1) I AM a lawyer, and 2) I am SO done with school.
I have managed land a massively prestigious training contract with a central London law firm, so I will, in fact, be a family law solicitor (commencing after my dissertation this September).
Gav misses the States far more than I do.
I am already turning into a Bridezilla.
And, Gav and I are coming to the US for a holiday before I start my new job in September. Oh! And we're buying a house!!! (Not actually right this minute, but saving and planning and should be acquiring about this time next year. Yeah--all the changes and incoming stability kinda freak me out from time to time, but it's all good.

Well, guess that's enough for now...I got some crisps and salsa waiting for me!

Cheers!
