Mariya knew something was wrong.

She pursed her lips as she looked at all the empty seats besides her.

Ryosuke and his friends were no where to be seen as well as Shida. Their bags weren't there as well so maybe they had work... but it's fishy. Ohgo, Kamiki and Sakamoto were there before lunch but now they were also gone.

She raised a brow as she look at the seat in front of her. Maeda was also gone. But her bag was still there. Something was definitely odd.

Mariya raised her hand to their sensei.

"Sensei, I'm not feeling very well, may I go to the infirmary?" she said weakly, in an act.

Mariya inwardly smirked as their sensei assent.

Once she was out of the room, she started looking for her missing classmates.

Mariya smiled as she spotted them. Sakamoto and Maeda.

The two were ascending the stairs. Looks like they were going to the rooftop.

Mariya followed them.

They were talking about something, but Mariya couldn't really hear.

Finally they were at the topmost of the stairs. They didn't go out the rooftop.

Mariya watched them, straining her ears so she could hear what they were talking about.

"Shou-kun, I like you!"

Mariya heard Maeda say very clearly.

She frowned.

'That's sweet. But I'm not interested.' she thought, and sighing, she walked back down to their classroom.

"Shou-kun, I like you!"

"Ehhh?" Shougo said, feeling surprised, light-headed, and unmistakenly happy.

But then Nozomi looked back to where they came from.

"She's gone." She said.

"Eh?" Shougo could only say.

"Nishiuchi was following us." Nozomi said simply. "Now what is it you want to show me? And where are the others??" She said impatiently.

Feeling a bit downcast, Shougo took Nozomi's hand and pulled her out to the rooftop.

Shougo's eyes widen.

"They're gone!"

"What are you talking about?" Nozomi asked.

"I left them here with Miki." Shougo started ranting. "Sensei's stupid invention shrunk them and we put them here but then they disappeared and then we got the machine and then we found him and then Miki shrunk Mirai and Suzuka and then the machine was ruined and now they're gone again!!!"

"Woah, woah! Are you sick?? Have you gone mad??" Nozomi said worriedly.

"I'm telling you it's true! Look! There's the machine right there!" Shougo said and he pulled Nozomi to the pile of metals.

Yuto's POV

Around 10 minutes ago

I definitely heard it.

I smirked at Yama-chan.

"You're hungry." I said simply.

"I'm fine." He said.

Mirai looked at him worriedly. He smiled at her reassuringly.

But then there it was again. We heard another grumble.

Suzuka actially giggled. "You're really hungry, Yamada-kun."

Mirai looked up to Miki and called him.

"Do you have any food with you?" Mirai shouted.

Miki shook his head. "Sorry, I don't. I can get one if you like."

"NO!" me, Chii and Suzu said all at once.

"I'm fine!" Yamada said loudly. "The last time we tried to get food it didn't end well. I think I can manage for a while more." He said.

But then another grumble.

I frowned at him. "You... you didn't miss a meal again, did you?" I asked him. Yama-chan, because of his work, oftentimes miss lunch or dinner. It looks like he's really a glutton when he eat but this is the true story. He eat like a buta because sometimes that's the only meal he eat in a day.

Miki was also frowning at him. He knew how Yama-chan was as well.

"We can all go downstairs." He offered. "I'll take you with me so you wouldn't be alone." He said.

"It's fine." Yama-chan insisted.

"I'm also hungry." Mirai suddenly said.

"Yeah, me too." I said, following Mirai.

"I'd like to eat too." Suzuka said.

Miki smiled, "I haven't eaten as well, actually. So let's all go down."

Miki crouched down to us once more and planted his palm on the floor.

I guess that was the best we could do. Miki carefully put us in his chest pocket. We were a bit crowded, of course, and it was a feat for Yama-chan since his injury was still aching. Mirai was assisting him, but I knew he was still aching.

"Argh!" Yama-chan gasped as we felt Miki moved.

"Careful Miki!" Mirai shouted.

"I'm sorry!" We heard Miki said. And I felt Miki slowed his pace. I don't know but I'm imagining Miki moving in a very very very very slow pace. Haha. He's a dork like that.

"What are you smiling about?" It was Suzuka. I was a bit surprise she could see me. It was a bit dark in there.
I shrugged. "Miki's funny."

She giggled as well. "Yeah, I wish someone would take a video of him right now."

"I told you I'm fine, Mirai. Stop nagging." I heard Yama-chan say exasperatedly.

"I'm just worried, okay?" Mirai said indignantly.

"Well you should be. It is your fault." Yama-chan said. I knew from his tone that he wasn't serious.

"No, it's because you're baka." Mirai said. And I knew that they were just having a friendly banter.

"How does this made me baka??" Yama-chan said. I could hear laughter from his voice.

"Well, you couldn't even dodge the feet!" Mirai said, giggling.

"I am only around three inches tall!" Yama-chan said, also chuckling.

And then he groaned. "Gosh, and I was complaining for being 165 cm. I'm satisfied with my normal height now, please return it to me." He said.

We all laughed. Even Miki.

But not Chii.

I looked at him. He was at least smiling, but his eyes were really sad.

Now that I think about it, he had been a bit quiet ever since he saw Umika earlier.

"Are you o--" but I couldn't finished what I was saying because I lost my balance. Or rather, Miki must have lost his balance and we all tumbled.

I reflexively held Suzuka to me. She was the nearest to me.

I heard Yama-chan gasped. He must have hit his injury or something.

"Miki!!" Mirai called, scoldingly.

"Sorry!" Miki said again. "I'm descending the stairs now. Hold on."

We were all quiet as Miki descended the stairs. Well, personally, I feel I'll bite my tounge if I didn't shut my mouth.

It was a relief when Miki was finally on the first floor and on plane ground.

"Almost there." Miki said in a whisper. Maybe there were people around him.

I knew when we had finally entered the cafeteria. I smelled a whiff of food and I heard Yama-chan's tummy again. Both Suzu and Mirai giggled.

Miki went straight to the cafeteria lady and ordered some food and then he went to one of the tables.

Suddenly there was light and Miki was peering at us from above.

"We're in the farthest table in the corner. I think it's safe for you to come out." He said.

We all nodded at thought. I'm sure everyone wanted to get out of Miki's pocket.

Gently, Miki took us out one by one.

"I brought strawberry shortcake." He announced. "But I only bought one cause it'll look weird if not. Is this okay for all?"

I look at the piece of strawberry shortcake towering over us. I think I heard my tummy grumbled as well. I only realized I was also hungry. Well, running around the school while you're miniscule must surely get one hungry.

"This is more than enough." Yama-chan said besides me.

I laughed and mock-punched him on his shoulder, of course, avoiding his injury. "You must be the happiest man today." I teased. "An ichigo even taller than you."

Yama-chan returned the punch, just as playfully, but I stepped back at the connection. Yama-chan is really strong.

"Enough with that." Mirai said, though she was smiling.

"Itadakimasu!" She said and then she went to the cake, Suzuka following after her.

"ITADAKIMASU!" Yama-chan and me said together and the two of us ran to the cake, overtaking the two girls.

We helped ourselves with the cake. I heard a muffled groaned from one of the girls.

"Butatachi." I heard someone say. I think that's Mirai. And another one giggling. I didn't care much at the moment. I just wanted to enjoy what privilege I have as a three-inches creature.

And then suddenly, I felt something hit my head.

I smirked as I realized what happened. I looked up to see Suzuka with her hand filled with icing.

"Oh no you didn't." I said, and then I got a handful of icing myself and threw it at her.

She giggled as she dodged, completely avoiding the ball of icing and as a result, it landed on Yama-chan's face instead.

I saw him aghast. But then I also saw him smirk.

"FOOD FIGHT!" He announced and then he was gathering icing as well.

"So immatu--" But Mirai was cut off as a ball of icing landed on her head.

She wrinkled her nose and started gathering icing as well.

We laughed as we played with and on our food. Now I think I have an inkling on how it felt for Hansel and Gretel.

I gathered another ball of icing, with Mirai-chan as my target but then I saw Chii.

He was smiling and laughing, watching us. But he was far away. He didn't even went in the plate. I dropped the ball of icing and went near him.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

He smiled. "Yeah."

"You haven't eaten?"

"You guys haven't eaten much as well." He said back, still smiling. "And I'm not really hungry."

"We'll be back soon enough." I told him. I knew he was worried about Umika.

His smile faltered but it went right back up. "I know, Yuuti. You don't have to worry."

"Well, you four seems to be in your own world." I was a bit freaked out hearing that from behind me. Seriously, Miki should stop piping in, it feels like his voice is a voice of a spirit or something. It's like surround sound-ish.

I smirked at him and then threw icing on his face. It didn't really do much.

Chinen laughed.

"Me and Chii were feeling a bit left out." Miki continued with a pout, ignoring the icing. "Two couples flirting around, how do you think two blokes would feel?"

He then turned to Chii. "If you want, we can pair up, too."

"Kimoi." Chinen said with a laugh. Miki laughed as well. I was too busy blushing to say anything. Couples?? YamaShi I can see, but me and Suzuka??

Suddenly a surround sound of 'Tsunagaru Omoi.'

I looked up at Miki in surprise.

It was Miki's phone. Someone was calling him.

He took out his phone and answered it.

"There you are!" Shougo said, relief in his voice.

"Shougo! and Nozomi?" Miki said, his eyes wide. 'What is she doing here?'

"She knows." Shougo said.

"Knows he's mad, yes." Nozomi said, pointing at Shougo.

"She doesn't believe me." Shougo explained.

"Show me proof." Nozomi said stubbornly.

"Is this okay?" Miki asked Shougo in a whisper.

"Well, she already knows and we do need all the help we can get." Shougo whispered back to Miki.

"I'm waiting guys." Nozomi said.

Miki sighed. Shougo had a point.

Nozomi watched as Miki went back to his table and took his plate. He then put it right in front of her.

"Why are you showing me your left ove--"

And then she saw it. Saw them. Her friends, on the plate, waving and smiling up at her sheepishly

Shougo rushed forward and caught Nozomi as she fell, unconscious.

Shougo sighed. "Thought she'd be shocked."

When Nozomi was finally around, Shougo gave her a glass of water. She took it gratefully and then breathed heavily.

Miki and Shougo started explaining everything, with me and Suzuka piping up once in a while.

She looks very shaken but I think she's slowly accepting the truth.

"Where's sensei now?" Nozomi asked.

"Sapporo." Shougo said. Everyone of us looked at him.

"WHAT???" It was Chii. He looked furious and defeated at the same time.

Shougo gripped his own hair. "Takano-sensei said he was called to a convention in Sapporo. I'm so sorry. And then Mariya overheard me and good thing Nozomi saved me but now I don't know what to do. If it's in Sapporo, I don't think he'll be back within twelve hours."

Chinen slumped down the table. He looks nothing like the Chii I knew right now. It was as if he'd given up.

"Chii..." I tried to call.

"Everything will be fine." Mirai said firmly. "We just need to think of another plan of action."

"She's right." Yama-chan said.

Chinen sighed heavily. I knew he didn't believed them.

"How is Umika?" Chinen suddenly said, looking at Nozomi.

She frowned. "The last time I saw her she was crying... She's worried sick."

Chinen placed a hand on his face.

We were silent for a bit.

"Maybe..." I started. "Maybe we should tell Umika..." I said softly.

Chinen looked at me.

"She'd think she'd gone mad." he said simply.

"No, she wouldn't." Mirai said. "I agree with Yuto. We should tell her. So she'd stop worrying."

Chinen laughed humorlessly. "When she saw her best friends and her boyfriend three inches tall, you think she won't worry?" He snapped.

"Chii." Yama-chan said with a bit of an edge. "This is not like you."

I nodded. "What have you done with our Chii?" I said jokingly.

But Chinen just shrugged. "He shrunk." He said, dully.

"Chii, Umika is strong. She'd rather she knows what's happening and what to worry about than not knowing anything at all." Suzuka said.

"I agree." Nozomi said. "She'll be fine. I'm sure of it."

"This is coming from the one who just fainted at the sight of us." Chinen said. I was glad there was a bit of humor back.

Nozomi pouted playfully.

Chinen sighed. "Fine. But we should start thinking about the plan as well."

"Well, it's either we make Sensei go back here before he reaches Sapporo or we get someone else who can fix the machine." Suzuka said.

"Let's try both of that." Miki said. "We need to think of something to make sensei go back."

"And to contact him firstly." Nozomi pointed out.

"Like infiltrating the principal's office and calling him in urgency?" Shougo suggested.

We all look at him doubtfully.

"You watch too many spy movies." Yama-chan remarked.

"It's only a suggestion." Shougo said, defensively.

"That could work actually, Shougo was able to get copies of videos from the CCTVs last year." Nozomi said.

I looked at Shougo in surprise. I didn't know that.

"Well, okay. Then we'll leave that to you, Shougo-kun." Suzuka said, accepting the plan at once. I didn't even know why.

"For plan B.... who can we call?" Suzuka said.

I sighed. "Well, if it's building stuffs... the only one I can think of is that person."

"Well, he can try... He's good with computers and machines too..." Yama-chan said.

"Who are we talking about?" Mirai asked.

I shrugged. "The architecture student."

Chinen smiled and finished, "Inoo Kei-chan."
