Five pairs of the devilish trio eyes and the lovely couple turned to the source of the voice. Umika was there standing next to the lanky boy named Yuto.
“Don’t you dare to touch her, my precious girl friend!” Yuto exclaimed. Sayaka, Uki and Kanae who were approaching the poor Hirona stopped instantaneously. Chinen startled. Hirona unconsciously curved a smile, relief, although she too was surprised with the sudden ‘confession’.

“Yuto, what’s the meaning of this? You’ve promised me yesterday that you won’t interfere with her life anymore, didn’t you?” Chinen tried to be professional while confronting Yuto though his voice was shaking a little. He let out a deep sigh.
“You misunderstood it. I call her ‘my girl friend’ not ‘girlfriend’,” Yuto calmly explained. He was resting her arms on the corridor trail.

A week had passed since the incident that almost hurt her. Everything had backed to normal. School continued as usual. Also Sayaka, Kanae and Uki no longer dare to disturb her. Hirona felt relief. At last, she could have the freedom and enjoyed school to its fullest. However, Chinen’s action lately confused her. That guy seemed to be avoiding her. Have I do any wrong to him?
“Umika-chan, are you free this evening? We shall settle it by now,” Chinen’s voice cut Hirona’s trance. Yeah, while avoiding her, he became closer to Umika.
“I think I’m free,” Umika answered shortly, throwing a tender smile.
“Okay, I’ll wait at the school entrance at 3.00. Till then, ja~”
Maybe it was just Hirona’s feeling, but Chinen seemed to ‘purposely showing off his latest relationship’ with Umika. Tired of thinking, she left, shrugging shoulders.

That evening…
As promised, Chinen waited for Umika by the gate few minutes before 3.00. And Umika came just sharp on time. Not far from them, Hirona was hiding - spying much - and waited for their next movement.
“Shall we go now?” Hirona could clearly heard Chinen’s gentle voice to Umika while offering a handheld. For Umika to openly accept it, Hirona felt her heart was torn to pieces.
Soon after that, they left.
“I can’t wait anymore! I have to make it clear!” Hirona talked to herself.

30 minutes later…
The ‘couple’ seemed to not fixing their destination yet, they just wandered around the town for no obvious motives. Hirona couldn’t hold her patient anymore, especially upon witnessing those so lovey-dovey act.
“Chinen-kun!” Hirona, who was stalking them from the beginning, jumped out from her hiding place. “Let’s make everything clear.” Her tone was loud enough, that people in 1 km radius could hear her.
Both highschoolers turned around.
“You better tell me, who will you choose between us!” Hirona ordered, pointing simultaneously to her and Umika. She didn’t even give the chance for Chinen to speak out.
“Well, I choose….,” he paused, looking at the girls one after another. “Ohno-kun!” he answered, intended to annoy them. But, things got out of plan….
“What did you say? Can you repeat it again?”
Chinen startled. That voice was familiar! Yabai! He slowly tilted his head to the voice direction only to see an ‘expected face’. The person brought ‘the expected face’ closer to Chinen’s.
“Emm? Say it again, will you?” the person asked sarcastically.
“Errr…errrr….,” Chinen stammered. He could feel that his body was shivering. Without waiting any longer, he quickly escaped through under the person’s armpit and ran away as swift as the light. He was so grateful that the small body he hated all this while had been the best weapon for him. However, the disaster hadn’t ended yet. He could clearly hear footsteps chasing after him and he didn’t have to look back to make sure of it.
“Nino-chan, we’re leaving,” his closest band mate called.
“Hai,” only short reply from the latter, who was panting after participating in a relay race without proper warming up. On the other side, Chinen was exhilarated with the excitedness of meeting Ohno live in life.
“Can’t you stop being so childish already?” Nino was scolded and he just grinned.
“Ne, Chinen, just go and play with her,” Nino pointed to Hirona - well he’s just guessing. “And don’t bother my Oh-chan anymore,”
Both Chinen and Hirona were surprised. “Eh, how do you know?”
“Tada!” Nino grinned again, this time to both young teens. “You just tell me!” He then left with an uninterpretable smile.
“Chinen-kun, Hirona-chan, isn’t that a confession?” Umika suddenly interrupted between them.
Hirona was flabbergasted. She didn’t expect it to turn out like this.
“Then… about you….and Umika?” Hirona asked Chinen, stuttering.
“Aren’t we actor and actress?” Umika asked her back.
“We planned it together. So, don’t blame her alone,” Chinen explained.
“We actually intended to make him jealous,” Umika added, throwing her smile to the direction behind Hirona.
“…but never expect that someone else would be more jealous?” Yuto asked, coming from the direction behind Hirona. He too was spying on the two, but in a calmer way.
Chinen slowly approached Hirona.
Hyakunen saki mo ai wo chikau yo
Kimi wa boku no subete sa
Kimi ga ireba nani mo iranai
Kitto shiawase ni naru kara
Even for hundred years more, I swear my love to you

Having you by my side, I won’t need anything else

Biased as usual, Chinen sang the beautiful lyrics of Arashi’s One Love exactly at Hirona’s ears. Of course, he hit the wrong note and his voice sound incredibly weird, but to Hirona it was the nicest lullaby she ever heard, whispering gently into her cochleae.
Meanwhile....
“Maybe I shall learn to care about you?” Yuto asked but it more like a statement to him.
“We can start from the beginning,” Umika replied, curving another smile for him.
