Kira was none too pleased by Conner's decision to come hunting with her. She said she could take care of herself, and he believed her-to a point. He knew she was an amazing fighter, and she didn't need him to protect her. It was just-he didn't like for her to be out there all alone. Their jobs as Rangers had been hard enough when they were all together. He didn't even want to think about what it must be like to constantly be on the road with no one to turn to when things got really rough. Sure, there were phone calls, but sometimes that just didn't cut it.
She could rant all she wanted, but Conner McKnight was her partner again, and that wasn't changing anytime soon.
Besides, Dr-ahem, Tommy would be thankful someone was looking out for his girl in his absence.
