Venting and just Writing

Dear Die-ry,

~Seems the last few days have been rather odd for me since I have lots on my mind more so then the usual hoopla of how am I going to pay my school and also my wanting to drive a car. I have been thinking of an upcoming event where I will see my ex Erica should I choose to attend, as well as the ideas of Wicca and Druidism. The two are completely seperate but both occupy much of my time when I am not working or reading which I am doing equally a lot of.

~Let me address the issue of Erica briefly since for all intents and purposes I did a lot of this on my last entry when the news was broken to me I may see her. I am just confused basically on a best course of action...either go to the party act all friendly and be social for the few hrs I'd see her, or just do something earlier in the day with Lizzie as to not ruin her night should bad words fly between me and her. I no longer care for Erica having moved on a while's back. The only reason their is so much tension at the idea of seeing her is I don't respect her anymore. She is the only person whom I don't know where the truth begins and where the lies end. Its all so mixed up that in all essence I just want to keep her away. I dislike liars and hypocrites and she at least for me fills both of those roles. For me to keep her away is both good Karma and secondly we can both move on easier into different areas and social circles the less interaction we have. Sometimes she also confuses me since she says shes over me but yet do or die she wants or wanted me as her friend despite me no contact like ever after some brief internet talking.

~Its been irking me on what to do and as such still brewing over some ideas. Speaking about brewing I have lately as evident in my entries been getting more and more into the occult as a form of "hobby" at the moment. I have been interested in magic and such for years due to tv shows, sci fi books and card games so the interest has always been there I have just been lacking in time. Now that I got a job and no school for the time being I have some time. I have been first trying to make a huge list of books as sort of a primer giving me some back ground data as well as more general view of the whole idea of Wicca and Druidism. Wicca and Druidism are the subjects of my new "Hobby".

~Seems the two have some common points and since I have a tie to nature more like a fascination with the natural world both explore this area and are subjects I am greatly interested in. I only have some questions as such can a person be a Wiccan and Roman Catholic? Can I be a druid and yet keep my faith? Are the religions of druidism and Wiccan opposites to that of Roman Catholiscm? These are questions not easily addressed through just reading. Though Eliphas Levi states that magic is using an aspect of the light to do good. Since that light comes from God its basically using an aspect of God to do good which in all essence is no sin as seen from the Catholic point of view of sin.

~I am doing my research and trying to see how things are going to go but for now I am just enjoying the literature and who knows if Ill live the lifestyle or not. I am interested but not sure if Id be willing to convert or try to find that middle ground that makes a peace with my soul. Later I think I wrote enough for today.

This moon cycle is the one when I am good enough at understanding magic I plan to do a ritual of sigil making to make a sigil to protect my niece from all forms of harm..its the real reason I am into Wicca and Druidism as a way to protect my niece.

OAK MOON
~The sacred tree of the Druids and the Roman god Jupiter is most noble as it withstands winter's blasts.

~The Full Moon nearest the Winter Solstice is the Oak Moon, the Moon of the newborn year, the Divine Child. Like the Divine Child who is born to die and dies to be reborn anew, the ancient Oak has its trunk and branches in the material world of the living, while its roots, the branches in reverse, reach deep into the Underworld, symbolic land of the Spirit. As the roots probe downward into the grave-like darkness of the Earth, its branches grow ever upward toward the light, to be crowned by sacred Mistletoe. At this most magickal time of the year, as the light of the old dying year wanes and the Oak Moon waxes to full, cast your Circle wearing Mistletoe in your hair. Let this token remind you that like the Oak, we too dwell simultaneously in two worlds - the world of physical matter and the world of Spirit. As you invoke the Goddess of the Moon, ask that you become ever more aware of the other side of reality and the unseen forces and beings that are always among us

~Santiago:
Definition: A contraction of Santo Jacobo (Hebrew Ya'aqob), or Saint James. The Santiago surname is common in Burgos, Aragón and Galicia, Spain.
Surname Origin: Spanish
Alternate Surname Spellings: SANTIAGA

~February is the month of innocence in which you honor childhood

February was named after Februariua, the ritual for atonement. It was originally 29 days long, but at one point, one day was transferred to the month of August. It is now 28 days long with a 29th day being added in leap years.

STORM MOON:
~A storm is said to rage most fiercely just before it ends, and the year usually follows suit.

~The Moon following the Wolf Moon is the Storm Moon. Whether you meet with a coven on the night of the Full Moon, salute Her in a solitary ritual, or simply blow Her a kiss, bear in mind the magick of this night and the nature of the storms of February. Unlike the boisterous storms of the light half of the year, which are accompanied by the clashing of thunder and the flinging of lightning bolts, the storms of February come in silence. They blanket the world in coldness in keeping with the nature of the dark half of the Wheel of the Year. But beneath the blanket of cold and silent snow, Nature rests, as we do when in the realm of the Spirit that is called death; and like those in the world of Spirit, Nature prepares for life anew
