I occasionally have trouble with mouth ulcers, as chronicled
here in the past. I think I now have the silver bullet:
the steroid paste which has been inconsistently useful to me in the past has to be applied as soon as you detect the first signs of trouble, and if you get there in time (have to smear it on the affected area last thing at night) you can beat the attack down to a couple of days.
Otherwise they break out in full, and it's back to the usual analgesic methods and being unable to talk properly for a week and a half.
