Back to the Future won the 1986 Hugo for Best Dramatic Presentaton. Second place went to Ladyhawke, third to Cocoon, fourth to Brazil (the only other one I’ve seen) and fifth to Enemy Mine. Ladyhawke would be a good film, but it is ruined by a terrible sound track.

Someone at my SLAC (small liberal arts college) had a DeLorean. The university had a weird mix of rich/preppy kids, tennis players (had an award-winning team), and had been making a big push to improve academic standards so were giving out a lot of academic-based scholarships. I was in the last group as were my friends.
