Well, no. River of Gods is. :)
I still really like Forty Signs, though. A large part of why is precisely that it's about process, not event. So, yeah, it's all about the buildup to the tipping point, the moment of change--and as the environment reaches that point, there's also the start of a Kuhnian paradigm shift, and Frank has his own personal epiphany. I liked the way all that was interwoven and contrasted.

And, returning to Forty Signs of Rain, Frank is particularly well drawn. But, well, apart from the end of the world as we know it, nothing much happened!
