As with yesterday's entry, I'm presenting these without much commentary, except for Best Series.

Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form

The crossover of our tastes isn't always that close: for what it's worth I loved The Expanse entire series and it was one of my nominations, I thought the production quality and general realism of the setting was rather nice, the dovetailing murder/kidnap mystery and ship hijack plotlines both interested me and the way ships moved and similar sold me rather well.

If you've time, give it a go from the beginning, I suspect it's not your sort of thing but it might grab you better to see it in order and if you do like it it's both definitely worth it and worth supporting because (not that it really needs it) more of this sort of well made high production value TV SF is something I really want to see. On the other hand I came to it blind, you've read the book and not been grabbed so, well, up to you.

I found the entire process of voting for the first time a bit overwhelming to be honest, and don't think the best series helped there-possibly didn't help that for some reason I thought it was McGuire/Grant's NewsFlesh series nominated and read that entirely through before the packet came out instead of stuff that I wanted to read.

It has confirmed that I want to actually get around to reading Bujold, and the Craft books look interesting, if nothing else it lets us acknowledge or become aware of stuff we might have ignored or missed when the series started.
