The reshowing of the Daemons in the early nineties was the first time I saw any Dr Who so it holds a very special place in my heart.

I'm very fond of the Daemons, and also of its novelisation, which I reckon is one of the best of the Targets. Though I am possibly biased, given that I find the Master disguised as a Vicar an irresistible concept.

I quite agree with you about Pigbin Josh.

The novelisation is indeed very very good, safely in my top 5 novelisations, and it's one of those cases where I was actually a bit disappointed on finally seeing the original story because it didn't quite match up to the pictures in my mind. The other two Who books that I have read by Letts are also very enjoyable. It's a shame he didn't write more.
