The government of the Turks and Caicos Islands has been suspended and direct rule from London imposed.

I shall keep an eye on this.

Given similar corruption incidents in Guam and Saipan, I'm unavoidably fascinated that the UK maintains this kind of authority and option in this case.

Apparently, at some point the Turks and Caicos wanted to be part of Canada.

Which would have given us somewhere domestic in the Caribbean to hide in the winter.

I'm all for it.
