The whole thing of calling the pirates Jihadists is, I fear, an example of the way all historical events have to be made Relevant to things happening today.

It was a very interesting book and you might also enjoy the Simurgh and the Nightingale by Roger Derham which is fiction based around the same moment. I enjoyed it.
