I'm still thinking about it myself. I've decided to connect my twitter and facebook updates, and am trying to do the livejournal update to twitter (but twice a day rather than hourly).

Basically the question is, will I hear news from my friends via twitter which I wouldn't have heard so quickly (or at all) without it? And the answer is, probably, yes. But we'll see.

I don't think much of twitter at all on first impressions, but then I didn't think much of facebook at first either.
