Christ, I'm struggling through this one myself at the moment. I'm about half way through the Complete Works, and this is the first one I've had trouble finishing. You're right about 4.3 - that's the one bit where I thought "hey ho, this is starting too get entertaining". It didn't last. I will get to the end of Act 5, I will!

This musical adaptation with Cole Porter songs is rather entertraining... maybe you should check it out

Cheers - although I'm generally a Branagh fan, I have to say I was rather put off by the WikiPedia entry calling it "a box-office and critical disappointment"!

When it comes to critics and Branagh I take their words with a pinch of salt, I have no idea what he did to him, but they seem to have an absolute bias against him.

djm4 has just seen this at the RSC (with David Tennant among the cast). He isn't on LJ much these days, but I'll try to remember to ask him if he feels like commenting here. I know he enjoyed the production.
