Saturday's episode showed again, as if any more confirmation were necessary, that several script-writers on NuWho are phoning it in. They don't give a damn for consistency, plausibility, or common sense.
Is it a terraforming device (good idea) or a glass bubble of gases (shit idea)? A good idea turns into a shit idea in the space of ten seconds.
There's No Bloody Difference between a set of long numbers representing a week in the middle of December (!!!) and another set of long numbers. Insane. This would make really good sense if it were a larger set of numbers covering a period of, say, six months. And in fact that would make the whole plot make a heck of a lot more sense. So the scriptwriters came up with a good idea and then turned it into a shit idea. Again.
There are nothing like enough humans or Hath or resources in this tiny poxy tunnel complex to sustain a war, even for a week, let alone for the much longer time we are supposed to believe. What do they eat? Where does their sewage go? Where do they get their ammunition? The materials for the Progenation units (hey, a good idea)?
Why do people come out of the progenation units fully adult and fully dressed?
Who reprogrammed the progenation units to make soldiers? And on which day? Shit idea.
Martha and Peck?! When and where did he get a name? How are they communicating? Oh, I'm supposed to care about this ambulatory spirit level? Oh, now he's dead. Good riddance. Plus, terrible costume/makeup.
Americans don't write dates yymmdd. They just don't. Shit.
Oh, and the Doctor's daughter? Shit idea. Cute though. Way cuter than That Other Blonde.
