She's on stamps, used to be on the coins, etc. She's a bad ass revolutionary allegory, who wouldn't take shit from anyone.

And she's a combination of Disney princess and floozie, complete with dishevelled hair, sexy pout, and suggestive gaze.

The right-wingers in France are of course all aghast, especially that the model was a Ukrainian feminist of the bare breasted activism movement (the Femen).

Me? I'm half amused by the controversy and half disgusted that, yet again, a sexy woman has replaced a kick-ass one. Oh I get the Femen brand of activism, but that's real bad ass people. The imagery that remains, alas, is the pouty sexy princess.
