Don't post often, do I? But I have good reason this time.
LJ has increasingly been alienating its user-base for the past several years. We've seen so many things happen over the years and so many people leave LJ because of this. And now LJ has taken another wrong step - and again users are stepping up and speaking out.
Or won't be speaking at all. Or clicking. Or anything.
On March 21, from midnight to midnight GMT, there will be a
content strike to protest the changes that LJ has made, many of which have been made without consulting the most important aspect of the site: the users. So from 8 p.m. EST to 8 p.m. EST Friday, I will not be accessing LJ at all - not on this journal, not on any of the journals that I have set up here.
Will it work to catch their attention? Who knows. But it's worth a shot.
