So! I just read where I trace my bloodline (1,339 words) by sardonicynic and it totally, absolutely needs to be read right now, by everyone, why aren't you reading it yet?

It's a snapshot of ficlets of Raylan's life (no true summary given), and the formatting is really cool, but the writing actually sings. The scene with Winona is what really got me though--it's a short passage, but both characters are well captured. There are mild spoilers for the whole first season.

tl;dr GO READ THIS FIC NOW.

I'm apparently on a Winona kick tonight. I just read through Stuck in the Middle (7,186) by abracax and jbkr73 . It's Ava, Boyd, Raylan, and a pregnant Winona stuck in the elevator. And it's great.

Summary: In retrospect, Raylan might think that the moral of the story is Always Take The Stairs.

(But I like this little quip better: jbkr73 : The four of them stuck in elevator - can you imagine how awkward that would be!
abracax: The only thing that could make it more awkward was if-

Well. You'll have to read the story to see how that sentence ends!)

The voices were done absolutely beautifully, and they balanced four very intense characters in a really tiny space perfectly. The look at the smaller dynamics of these two relationships, and these four people, was great.

That was huge fun to write! Glad you enjoyed, and...there's a sequel "Invisible Lines". Check it out.

And so I'm not just pimping my own stuff....look up anything by freshouttaideas on fan fiction.net. She's awesome!

Start with Roll to Your Rifle, then All the Way to the Bone. Her story in progress is Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. They're all heavy on Tim with a lovely and usually humorous side dose of Raylan. There are some great OCs, including a realistic (and useful) girlfriend for our favorite sniper.

I apologize, but evidently I do not know how to post links here. How embarrassing!

My life has been ridiculous this last week, but I've been looking forward to reading the sequel and I'm hoping to have some down time tonight! Can't wait. <3 I'll definitely check out your other recs as well!
