So, 9 videos... I was actually surprised I got that many out, what with my wedding and work schedule. At least I'm a bit more consistent with them time wise. 8 out of 12 months have a video....
My Favorite Video this year (of my own): he response that Time To Begin has gotten has been...I don't even have words to describe it. Amazing, Baffling Crazy, Dumbfounding, I could go through the entire alphabet. Was it my favorite when I first posted it? No. I started it as a love letter to the show and it's fandom that has brought me tremendous joy, and it felt unfinished. Now, because of everything that's happened since, I can't hear the song on the radio (a song I should be thoroughly tired of by now) without breaking out into the biggest grin
My Least Favorite Video: Seat's Taken While in concept was a good idea, it still feels patchy to me. And I have I don't watch the show anymore so...
Most Successful Video:Time to Begin. I have never had a response to one of my videos like this in the entire time I've been making videos.
Video Most Under Appreciated by the Universe: Once again, this question is ridiculous to me. Any appreciation is awesome and I am grateful for every single bit of it.
Most Fun Video: This year consisted of a lot of slow pieces. So Time To Begin, Girls & Boys, and A Delicate Thing are the winners. However, funnest to make was probably The Door, because I got to collaborate with someone as passionate about the ship as I am, which made the whole process beyond amazing.
Video with the single sexiest moment: Again, most of my pieces this year were either deep character/ship studies or fun time here we go ballads. So I guess because Spuffy remains the sexiest to me I'll say The Wait.
Biggest Vid Fail: I'm happy to say I'm not as cynical towards my videos this year as I have been in the past. So I'm gonna say all of them were wins.
Hardest Video To Make it's a toss up between Time to Begin and The Wait. Time To Being, because it took me a good 3-4 months to complete it, and while inspiration was in full swing, there was a lot of re-edits that drove me insane. And The Wait because again, it took me a long while to complete, and I was in and out of inspiration for it.
The Things I've Learned This Year: think the quality of my videos went up this year, over quantity. With my work being a pain and time being limited, I think the time I did spend on videos, instead of rushing through something just to get it done, really showed in what I put out there.
For 2013: Last year my answer to this question was:
"Welcome new fandoms/concepts" and I went on to include these fandoms
Fandoms I hope to vid in 2012 include:
Buffy, the Vampire Slayer (of course) Done
Angel (I would like to make a couple ensemble/character videos)
Community Done
Parks & Recreatio
Twin Peaks (when I'm finished with my rewatch)
The Vampire Diaries Done
Grimm STARTED...
Veronica Mars Done
Arrested Development
Happy Endings STARTED...
So as far as branching out goes, I'm giving myself a B.
For 2013 I would like to continue branching out. And REALLY THIS TIME, find a way to limit my WIP's so that I can focus. You guys, I have 23 videos I'm working on right now. That's TOO MUCH with what limited time I have now-a-days!
I've been compiling a list of my favorite 2012 Fanfiction and Music for your enjoyment, which I will hopefully post soon.
