Band Sh**
I wish band wasn't so complicated. Seriously...in terms of trying to figure out what the hell I'm supposed to do, it sucks. I have virtually no guidance except for some pointers and memories of past management. I'm so thankful for Ms. Matz but hello...she's f***in retiring next Wednesday!!! Then no more Ms. Matz! Ack...this may be complicated to you, the reader, or just plain ass boring so move on if you don't want to read anything further.
1. Band Camp will be very successful in terms of time management this year
2. There are new conductors so we don't need to scramble about for anyone new
3. Lunch for Band Camp won't be a problem because of my Mommy (thank goodness)
4. The Band Camp Committee is pretty involved and very dedicated. Thank you!
5. Band Council this year will be very fun (no drama)
Those are the only positive things...here are the negatives...
1. We need more posts, which means we need more people- I don't want to do all the work and come up with ALL of the ideas
2. Communications- It sucks not to be able to contact people we need on a more professional level. I absolutely hate that.
3. Booster Club- The friggin adult involvement shrinks every year! How the hell am I going to increase the club's membership if the students aren't doing anything about it?
4. Personal Information- Why is it so hard to get addresses and phone numbers from the school these days? Their system is cracking down...
5. Band Camp- Where are we going to have band camp!? Damn construction workers! I can't begin to explain their so-called "progress" on the dang school...and school's starting earlier than usual! What the...!?
6. Mandatory Uniforms- This is so frustrating in terms of finding something friggin warm and durable enough at a good company. Too bad Costco sucks in terms of working with high schools!!!! Now I have to order the damn uniforms before band camp or we'll have to revert back to the marching uniforms...which doesn't make sense cuz we're not marching this year. And the fact that our band students already know we're going to have NEW uniforms...now I'll have to call people and hopefully get adequate sizes for EVERYONE. *sighs* Where is the love in tough situations?
Ok...done with venting. Now I'm just totally procastinating and I should definitely clean stuff and practice the piano....and gah...so many things.
