Siddu insisted that I post about him, so here goes. Siddu got into INSEAD, for the next academic year. Personally, the only reason I'm happy about INSEAD is that he'll come to Paris sometime and I'll get to meet him. It's been 10 years since we met last, in Bangalore. Mom is a bit confused as to why my generation simply refuses to grow up and settle down. Why do we have this urge to continue to be students? I think it's because ours is the first generation in India to actively look at a different template for a fulfilling life, other than the standard issue handed down.
In other news, my teaching money just came in and so I bought myself an EOS 1000D. Currently, I've just got the standard 18-55mm IS lens, but I'm sure that I'll be tempted to buy another one soon. Buying a camera is like buying a house. The initial price is just the first in a series of financial outflows.
I have no plans to travel anywhere this christmas, all friends have gone home, so will be the only poor sod coming in to work in an empty building over christmas and new years :-(. Sad, but true.
