Missed your chance, Gaius- but at least you can acknowledge that.

Interesting moment to draw back on.

I know Gauis is mostly too self-absorbed to stop and think about Laura, but I've been toying with this quote of Laura's and how her & Gauis' relationship changes over the arc of the show. I've got a much longer fic in the works but stole this little snippet for the drabble challenge.

Thank you! Yes, Baltar does make everything about himself but I wanted, for one moment, to have him realize how wrong he'd once been :p

This is such a great twist on what Laura says (and Gaius' reaction in the mini) -- fantastic!

Thank you! I've been toying with this Roslin line for awhile. I've got something larger brewing in terms of Baltar's reaction and hopefully someday I'll finish it!

Gaius' POV! Too clever! This is awesome all around, but --the Admiral who has made her beautiful-- shippy sigh. :)

I'm glad that line elicited a shippy sigh! Laura was always a beautiful woman but I really believe her relationship with Bill - professionally and personally - helped her come into her own.

Ooh you always write something different and intriguing. Interesting choice of that line and Gauis' reaction. My bleak future in her Admiral's hands. Great line in a great drabble!!

I'm always afraid, when I get an idea, that it'll have been written before. My penance for coming into fandom so late is I have work extra hard to come up with something relatively new!

Glad you liked that line. I suppose his future ended up being rather entertaining, but at this moment he had little reason to be hopeful.
