We're at the beach house in NJ for the week- all 10 of us. Eric, John, Janice, Chris, and myself are crashing in the living room; Arlene and Tom have their own; Lily aqnd Alley have their's; and "Omah" has the master in the back.
We've mostly just been hanging out around the house and the beach, with bike rides and trips to the nearby ice cream stores in between. Yesterday Eric drove all the older kids (or young adults in this case) to Atlantic City to spend the afternoon gambling. Arlene divied out $40 to each of the guys with the promise that they split any profits, of which Chris came out $55 up. I followed him and Eric through a string of casinos to the roulette and Black Jack tables, strolling down the boardwalk, and then after regrouping with John and Janice we piled into the van and headed back to Avalon. Last night we pulled the tables onto the front porch for a large group meal with family friends also vacationing, followed by some Uno and Michigan, and then a midnight showing of Sim City (which I highly recommend- its basically a motion-picture comic book). This morning we woke just in time to drag our selves to Bingo at the church with Arlene and her mom, though none of us had winning cards... Eric left last night back to Lancaster for work, so we're all in charge of the girls, which is not an easy task when Lily wants her daddy...
Tonight there is a movie on the beach, though as for the rest of the week we have no plans! On Saturday Chris and I will take the Cape May ferry over to Delaware, then drive across to DC to spend time with my family for the 4th... c'est tout!
