A busy, but
Such a busy week, but good times all around...
Tuesday - went to the Improv to see Ron White with the boy, his friend and his friend's girlfriend. Lots of fun, I'd never been to the Improv before and Ron White was freakin hysterical.
Wednesday - After dealing with a monstrous project at work last week, my division head took the entire Sales department out to Lauriol Plaza, another place I'd never been, for margaritas and tasty treats. We got to cut out at 4 for the event which was nice. Fun times... it was a bitch of a project so it was nice to have a little reward. And p/s Lauriol Plaza has kick ass nachos.
Thursday - Worked with one of my bosses at a fundraiser gala, whose VIP guests included Ralph Nader and Tony Shalhoub. I didn't realize they'd be there, so that was quite a surprise.
Friday - Kegs and Eggs with the boy... and guess who forgot to turn the ringer on her cell phone back on so her alarm didn't go off and she didn't hear her boy calling... heheheh oops.... I woke up on my own at 6:30 when he'd already been in line half an hour. Got in, ran into a friend of his, had a good time, rolled out so I had time to shower, change for work and get some food. Went to work while he and Sarah drank their asses off and somewhere in there saw a movie... needless to say the two of them were drunk off their asses by the time i got off work. We met up with my coworkers for a minute but headed back to the boy's... I knew I wasn't going to catch up to them and didn't really want to make myself sick trying... besides, the two of them were more entertainment than I'd find anywhere else. Especially when a drunk Sarah repeatedly told me to marry the boy and have his babies. I'm glad they bonded and had a good time. :)
As for today I wound up staying in... I feel funky today, though it isn't hungover b/c I didn't drink a whole lot last night. I can't really put my finger on it... I feel sorta lethargic, but not tired, and I have a strange headache. Then again my sleep schedule has been all over the place this week and I probably just need a good night's sleep in my own bed to feel better.
Starting tomorrow I'm going to do the 10-day induction phase of the Sonoma diet. I need something to kick start my whole dieting thing which has gotten off track. Mom has had a lot of success on it and lent me the book, so here's hoping it helps. Basically for the first 10 days it's no sugar or white flour, no red meat, no alcohol and lots of lean protein, veggies and whole grains... I tried starting after my weigh-in on Wednesday, but since we had margaritas and then St. Patty's day i figured it was a lost cause. But my diet has been pretty bad lately so I pretty much just feel all icky and bloated.
So that's it from my neck of the woods. :D
