The End of My "Teenage" Years

Jun 28, 2005 09:58

I have been told that through my so called "teenage" years, I did
not behave like a teenager. No major parties in high school, no pot smoking in the parking lot of school and I definitally did not skip class. Yesterday, my last teen day, I woke up, went to work, left work in rush-hour traffic, and proceded to go to my evening class in Palm Beach. My professor is a very intelligent man, or at least I think...he has a very heavy haitian accent and stutters a bit. On the way home in my Stang, classical music lingered in my ears. I could hear the whistling of the reeds and the soft hum of the violin. At that moment I realized that I was about to become something else. My excuses were about to run out, and my dreams were a bit more in reach. I thought to myself, "Within the next decade, I could be married with two kids." There is always the other option, "Within the next decade I could be the CEO of my own Real Estate Company, traveling across the world and living in a beautiful home in South Florida with my fiance."

Whatever the case may be I am going to be 20 in a matter of hours.
I'll write when I am older.
