(no subject)
I haven't posted in so long! I've had so much work to do you have no idea. I literally have been coming home every night and working till sometmes 5am in the morning. Not to mention we had our drama performance last week that meant we were rehearsing till 6 each night for weeks. I got 18/20 though, so I'm happy :)
My brother went in for an operation today :( He went in to have his hernia removed. I went to the hospital and stayed till 10ish. He was in pain and it was so horrible. And then I went to hug him and accidently hurt him. It was so upsetting. Hopefully it just means he'll get better and be okay now.
The Obama Inauguration was so brilliant. His speech was beautiful. And his and Michelle's first dance! It was so stunning. Looking at them fills me with such hope for my future. As though even though the world is full of problems and corruption, they're going to be on our side throughout. They will see us through these times. It's not even my country, and yet I feel protected. He is simply an amazing man.
I've got so much work to continue to do, so my updates will probably be few and far between. Sorry, guys. I suck - I'm aware. I hope you're all doing great and lovely and wonderful :)
Also - Kate's GG win! And her Oscar nom! If she doesn't win Best Actress, and Slumdog Millionaire doesn't win Best Picture and just about everything else it's nominated for - then I will eat my hat.
Slumdog Millionaire is absolutely flawless. If there is one film you see this year - make it this one. I can't fault it. Beautifully acted, brilliantly written and with such a huge heart. The end scene had me weeping. It is truely one of the best films ever made, and I don't use that term lightly. SEE IT.
