Until I see evidence otherwise, I choose to believe that our country actualy voted in that idiot for a second term. Why do I choose to believe this? Because I feel like it is so easy to default to "the Republicans stole this election" It might be true, but at this point we need to acknowledge the possibility that he could have been voted in fair and square.
This scares me. If this is true, I live in a country that actualy WANTS to ban abortion, deny rights to gay people, and could give a shit about anyone living below the poverty line. A country more concearned with fighting imaginary terrorists and imperialistic wars than giving children a basic education or healthcare to old people. I live in a country that lets their morals and not their common sense dictate their politics.
If this is not true I live in a country where the people and the media will not even allow discussion of two fixed elections.
