Stuff I just typed

The last palindromic year was 2002 and before that 1991. Unless I live to be 133, I will never see another. This makes me sad.

New Audioslave album is the Audioslave equivalent of Soundgarden's Down on the Upside. It's come out 10 years afterwards too. By virtue of these bands respective quality, this means it can't be as good as that record. But the last half is worthy of late-era Soundgarden. Ever notice on Superunknown and Down on the Upside how they're top loaded with these awesome single-quality songs, and then the last half of those CDs take it to an even more exciting level? One reason that I don't have an iPod is that I love albums too much. (I don't think this makes me out of touch, since I know exactly what iPods are and I watch a scary amount of music videos.) I like knowing what a song's context is. Although I've loved movies forever, a lot of the way I understand them came from listening to CDs in high school. I like how albums can have a unified but abstract meaning. It's why with movies I'm often more interested in emotion, representation and thematic progression than literalism and closure.

Another thing: I used to get mistaken for Chris Cornell when I was younger and looked older than I do now.
