So this (single, solitary) week is Christmas vacation. Christmas was good, I like being with my family and I got some awesome stuff too. I have lots of awesome new music to listen to. And I've written my New Years Resolutions already, and put a few into practice. I do love resolutions. I did get sick though with a bad cold on Christmas Eve, which kind of sucked. Today is the first day I'm feeling totally better. And unfortunately I have so much to do this week so I can't really relax. Lots of college applications and homework and all that jazz.
But I have had some friend time too, which I very much enjoy. And somehow things are really starting to work out for almost all of my friends, and I am very very happy for them. :-)
Hahah so my mother and I have been arguing a lot lately, and this morning she came into my bedroom with a so-called peace offering. She woke me up (it was 9am!) with a steamy delicious cup of coffee (I got a coffee maker for Christmas, it's very wonderful), and she told me to sit up and take a sip. Then she sat with me and we talked about our lives, for a few minutes. Then she told me to take another sip. "I think you should come into Boston with us on New Year's Eve Day, even if you don't want to." Another sip. "I think you should clean your room this weekend." Another sip. "I think you should finish your Penn application today."
That was the big one. She has apparently taken over for my dad as "floor warden" (a term dr. dragonas awarded to hall monitors but i now use for whoever is hassling me about college applications).
So I've been doing that all morning.
I dunno though, life is strangely wonderful. For the first time all week I really think that it is. Maybe you have to dip down a little before you can come up. And maybe you have to see each color before you can see an entire spectrum.
Either way though, things are going swimmingly, and colorfully.
Okay the floor warden is offering me a half hour breakfast/lunch break. Must go take advantage.
Much love and love much,
Slux!
