I totally stole this from mbmargarita because I also love Christmas!

1. What do you want for Christmas?
Grown-up things. I'm getting really boring, but I asked for professional clothing and pots and pans (since my roommate who has them has moved out now) and books and school supplies. Most of those things I want because I'll be student teaching next semester. I'm so boring.

2. What is your favorite food at Christmas time?
Gingerbread men. Or possibly pumpkin pie. Nothing like Christmas to bring out my sweet tooth.

3. Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
Yes, actually. I'm doing pretty good with it, too.

4. What is your favorite Christmas song?
I've always loved Carol of the Bells.

5. What is your favorite Christmas movie?
Hands down, no contest, without a doubt: Muppet Christmas Carol. Love Actually is a distant, distant second.

6. What is your best memory of Christmas?
When I was eleven, I got a Slava Kozlov Detroit Red Wings jersey. It was amazing. I was head-over-heals in love with this player, you see, and I wore that jersey during every Red Wings game I watched, on TV or live, until I went off to college, I think. My parents remember it as the greatest Christmas gift they ever gave, my dad told me recently.

7. What do you look forward to most at Christmas?
Seeing all of my cousins and aunts and uncles and grandparents. Especially now with us in Wisconsin and (nearly) everybody else in Michigan; we don't get to see everybody that often.

8. What are you doing for Christmas this year?
Back to Michigan. We spend Christmas Eve with my dad's extended family and Christmas day with my mom's, every year, always.

9. Who do you want to kiss under the mistletoe?
Eh? I'm fairly open right now.

10. What kind of Christmas tree do you have?
Here at my apartment I don't have one (though maybe I should get one...I have the room now, living alone!). My parents always buy a ginormous tree and put it in our foyer. When I was a kid I always helped my dad put the lights up on the tree--it was our thing, starting when I was about five years old. I miss it.

11. Do you take part in a Secret Santa?
Actually, that's how we're doing presents for my mom's family this year. But usually no.

12. Do you go to any Christmas parties?
Not really.

13. Do you still get a stocking?
Yep.

14. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
Sure. I live in the northern midwest.

15. What do you usually do Christmas morning?
My brother and sister and I always go through our stockings first, then our parents' stockings, then we do our gifts. After that we have scrambled eggs and Sara Lee coffee cake. Every year. Always. The afternoon is with my mom's family--but lately we've been splitting it up and doing our family Christmas early, before we go to Michigan. So it's like another Christmas! Yay!

16. What do you do on Christmas Eve?
Christmas Eve is with my dad's family--back when all the cousins were young, one of our sets of aunts and uncles got us presents (they picked who had whom at random at Thanksgiving). Once you turn 21, though, you're out of that circle so now it's only my brother and sister who get gifts that way. We always eat reuben sandwiches my grandfather makes, and my grandmother's chicken noodle soup. Also, Grandma always reads us The Polar Express--no matter how old we are. It's tradition.

17. What do you usually get in your stocking?
Candy, lipgloss/chapstick, pens, sticky notes, batteries if one of my later presents is of the electronic variety, a movie theater gift card.

18. Have you ever gone Christmas Caroling before?
Yes, but not since 8th grade, I think. Which is too bad, I love Christmas Carols.

19. What do you put on the top of your Christmas tree?
An angel. We got it when I was really young, and it's always been mine to put at the top of the tree. I'm so spoiled when it comes to Christmas, being the oldest.

20. Do your pets get Christmas gifts?
I did when I had my gerbil. But when she died, I stopped. Plus we don't really have pets anymore.

21. Do you ride around and look at Christmas lights?
Yes. There's a hotel nearby that has a beautiful display every year.

22. What is your favorite Christmas cartoon?
Gotta be The Grinch. Unless you're counting those claymation things, in which case my answer would....still be The Grinch.

23. What is the best Christmas album out?
Eh? I like the Muppet Christmas Carol soundtrack, I suppose.

24. What is your favorite Christmas cookie?
We used to make sugar cookies with special home-made annis frosting, and they were fantastic.

25. Do you drink egg-nog?
Not if I can help it.

26. Do you send out Christmas cards?
Haven't yet, but I've got some for this year! I should get on that, actually...

27. Do you see anyone you normally don't see around Christmas?
My extended family, I suppose. Though that seems weird to say since I just saw most of them at Thanksgiving!

28. Do you have any Christmas wishes?
Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men?

Also that my England trip goes brilliantly!
