OMG...

It has been a long time since my last entry. I have done so much since my last entry. I wish it was something good that was inspiring this entry, but that's just not the case. Do people just not have a conscience any more? When I do something even remotely wrong I feel sick about it. It seems though that these days people have this attitude of, "I ( Read more... )

Don't buy everything Michael Moore says. A lot of the supposed
"documentation" for Bowling for Columbine was in fact fabricated. People
in Canada also lock their doors, just like us. You do need to show your
ID in Canadian Walmarts, if you want to purchase ammunition, and no you cannot
pay in American dollars. There was no incident where a dog, with a
hunting rifle strapped to his back, killed a person. Oh, and the whole scene
where a bank handed out guns for opening a checking account also did not happen.
It was staged. While there was a bank who gave out firearms for opening an
account with them, it wasn't an instant think. There was one week waiting
period, during which a licensed gun dealer (again, not the bank) ran a
background check on the person. If the person cleared, only then were they
allowed to get a firearm, for which they had to go to a firearms dealer
contracted by the bank. Michael Moore is brilliant at raising questions that
need to be asked, but he relies heavily on fallacies to get his point across. He
is a good lobbyist... that is all I have to say about him.

Australia does kick ass. Beautiful weather fosters the topless-ness, which in
my book is all gravy, since none of them down there are fat.

Real Time with Bill Maher did a segment on him some time back. In an interview at a later date but on the same show, he admitted that some of the information on it was in fact not 100% accurate. He justified himself by saying that the right has been using the same sort of tactics to get their points across. There is no reason for the left to be the only side who gets to play by the rules. And I agree with him partially. He did get Walmart to stop selling ammunition though, which was a very note worthy feat in itself. So, yea... I am still a fan of him. Just don't believe everything he says. It's like relying on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart for your daily news.
