An intermittent update

Apologies for the long long absence…

Guess the married life + job has taken up much of my time, such that by the time I’m home on weekdays, its just enough time to have dinner, watch a little tv, shower and sleep. And weekends are spent cleaning the house / washing clothes and catching up with either side of the family…

Married life is not easy especially when we’ve move out into our own house.  There’s no more mother to rely on to help with the housework =P

So yes, the past few months have been very hectic (with regards to work), overseeing all the training programs and also monitoring the customer service department is not easy… hmm.. actually its not that its not easy, but its just crazily time consuming. Plus the company has a culture of holding excessive meetings, when it only translates to futility.

That being said, it’s led me to not being able to catch up with friends for weekday dinners (yes, my company has a odd working hour, we end work officially at 6.45pm, but unofficially at 8-ish) and I need my personal time (with the husband and family) on weekends.

In fact, I haven’t met most of them ever since our wedding, yes, I’m very horrible I know…

And so, I shall make myself a mid-year resolution, to catch up with my friends more frequently from June onwards, before I turn into a hermit crab! =)

On other news, my sister has graduated and my parents are in New York now attending her graduation ceremony! It’s a pity I don’t have enough time to attend her convocation, but I’ll make it up when she comes back… and she’ll be back in SG for good!

Its so weird that her 4 years abroad has flashed by so quickly, it seems that it was just yesterday that she was starting on her degree and now she’s even finished her masters! And finally, we can go celebrating CNY together from next year! (she’s missed 4 of it already, need to catch up on those red packets =P)

We’ve also finally gone on out belated Honeymoon to Japan! And it was really a fantastic trip! Not to mention the big hole that it’s burnt in our pockets, but it was definitely money well spent!

Till the next update, here are some photos from Japan! =)

Toyko Disneyland! With the perfect excuse (it was raining) to splurge on a S$36 Mickey / Minnie raincoat.. EACH..

One of the bestest-super-rich-and-flavourful-pork-based-ramen. That after one mouthful, you can feel your arteries getting blocked from all that pork fat but it was so worth it!

Takopachi with so many different toppings!!

The view from our Hotel Room! Osaka bay Tower. Its even lovelier in the night, pity my camera’s not a pro at night shots

And of course, the pretty Sakuras!!! Think we got more than 100 photos of them little pretty things =)
