Facials & Face Care

Every since we decided to get married... I've been contemplating on whether I should sign up for a Facial Package…

Most of my close friends are already frequent patrons of beauty salons and have been taking care of their skins since they got their first pay-check….

As for me, my skin was never “bad” to begin with… hardly had pimples, or excessively dry / oily skin…. To me, my skin was good… only thing I had were blackheads & fine lines (getting old liao)

The boy has been asking me to start going for facials, to maintain my skin… but there has always been this cost factor…

A facial package would cost easily $1k+… and besides, there’s nothing much that make-up can’t do nowadays…=P

So instead, I’ve invested in beauty care products…

I’ve been using SK II’s Facial Treatment Essence (Miracle Water) for almost 2 years liao and it was the ONE thing that is pretty good… controls oil and get better complexion…

Remember the last time I bought the whole range of Estee Lauder Cyber White Series…

It didn’t work out well for me… had super oily skin and I didn’t like the sticky-ness of some of the creams… or maybe it didn’t compliment with my SK II… so when it finished, I had to look for something else…

And where else to look but back at SKII?

So in addition to my Miracle Water, I've gotten the Facial Lift Emusion (Anti-ageing)

Signs Treatment Totality (Overall)

Signs Eye Cream (bye bye panda eyes)

I'm such a vain pot right... The only I haven't found was something to get rid of my Blackheads (probably except my trusty Biore Pore Pack)

So hopefully these items will help me in maintaining my skin in the long run... (so far everything's pretty good)

But remember that I had a Birthday Present of Leonard Drake Vouchers from the boy from last year's Birthday? I had to use it utilize it or it would be wasted...

So i made myself an appointment at their outlet at White Sands (i prefer a less crowded outlet compared to Century Square) and had my First ever Facial!

It was quite amuzing cos they will always try to push their luck to get you to sign up for their packages / buy their products... but the people at Leonard Drake were really professional! They did a skin analysis for me to highlight my problem areas...

Which were my black heads, panda eyes and (upcoming) freckles! [appraently even staying in office the whole day facing the computer screen can also cause freckles! ok, I see you backing away from your monitor now]

So they recommend a Revitalizing facial with a double mask (whatever that was)... My beautician was pretty nice... telling me how I should take care of my skin and the importance of sun-block... and how the woman's face will change during and after childbirth, cos of all the hormones... so we got to take care of our skin...

Whether or not, it was their tactic to "scare" me... but after my facial (a long 2 hours)... I was sold!

I kinda convinced myself that "What the heck! this is probably going to be the only time in my entire life that i'll consider signing up for a facial package... so lets go for it!" (i figured that after i give birth (in the future), i'll probably wanna sign up for slimming packages instead =P)

And so, with the blessings from the boy, I signed up for a facial package! =P

Its probably not the cheapest out there, cos they run using a credit system... but with 6-months interest-free installment plans... what else is there stopping me? =P

I wanna ba a GLOWING Bride on the wedding day (and not with the help of makeup)

Now i'm just hoping that AFTER my package ends, i'll have the will-power to NOT continue for another package... =P

FYI: I signed up for some Passion Package at $1,688 that comes with $2,000 of credits and some other freebies... can't remember them all.. If you are considering to sign up, just quote my name and you'll get some additional freebies too! (ps. and i'll also get something =P)

PPS. the next time when you see me, please say that my skin looks good ok =P
