haha, it is indeed tough when there are so many shopping and food temptations around.

What I do was to carry only the most essential cards, and only use them on big ticket purchases, or where there is really a lucrative discount. Otherwise everything else is either cash or nets.

UOB ladies card.

DBS Black Card - depending on your income limit.

Posb I think they call it the Daily card or something... not sure. I didn't sign up for this but I heard its good if you shop at carrefour regularly.
Citibank's

Clear Card - for clubbers and gourmet lovers

Dividend Card - one of the best I think, cause of the cashback

I have one amex on standby for travelling in case the countries I go have problem with masters or visa. (btw, good to have one of each.)

Avoid carrying too many cards - I use to carry about 6 to 7 till I had this nightmare on losing my wallet. not funny at all loh, the panic and sometimes customer service line have difficulty connecting. better to limit to just 2 - 3 of the cards you use frequently.

i pay off my credit card expenses as i spend.. i treat it as a debit facility.. cos i hate the delay in bill coming & affecting my overall cashflow and lulled into a false sense of security.

use standchart for wedding expenses. $300 rebate off every 6k spending for the quarter.

if you can manage the expenses properly, it's worth collecting points in the long run.
