All the People gather to watch you smile
I can't stop singing and smiling. And you want to know why? It's because the smell and feel of summer is all around us! I'll admit I haven't really looked into what school ending really means for all of us, but I can't help notice all the exciting prospects and adventures summer brings. I just saw a trailer for the 5th Harry Potter game and all of a sudden a wave of summer nostalgia washed over me. Staying up until 8 in the morning in order to finish a Harry Potter video game with Caitlin and Zippy led to the memory of playing MASH with Izzy and Caitlin while waiting for the clock to strike midnight so we could get our hands on the next Harry Potter book.
This summer is going to be the most amazing of all. Harry Potter book, movie, and video game. A road trip, a baby nephew, beaching, ice creaming, turning so tan I look purple like the good old days, bike adventures, skinny dipping, declaring war on the day care behind my house, watermelon eating, the county fair, impromptu dance parties, sleeping in, never sleeping, parents out of town, summer city nights, and everything in between.
Still I suppose I should savor what we have left of high school...or at least the friends I get to see while in high school. Cause Santa Cruz here I come!
