Old Navy

I spent my summer working at Old Navy.....and while I could tell you countless reasons why my job sucks, I have to admit it's one of the better part time summer jobs I could have.

Albany is opening a store in September, and lucky us, all of the newly hired minions had to "learn the ropes" in Salem. Yippee. The only good thing about this situation is the fact that one of the "LOD's" (leaders on duty....like a manager, but it changes throughout the day) asked me to let a couple of them shadow me, and then asked me how long I've been working there. When I told her that I've only been there for like 2 months she couldn't seem to believe it, paid me a huge compliment and totally made my day. Plus, just recently we got a new store music CD.....if I had to listen to "holler back girl" ONE more time I was going to crack. Unfortunately the Albany people, although good natured and willing to help, are VERY slow at everything (which is understandable). I was in the fitting room by myself and I was practically BEGGING the Albany people to run the 2 FULL rolling racks of clothes for me because I literally had no where else to put them.

It's just been crazy there the last few weeks......back to school is definitely in full swing. I can't wait until it's over....because the feeling of continually being understaffed and trying to do the job of like 3 people is really wearing me out.

I did realize however, that even though I've only been at Old Navy for less than 3 months, I'm going to miss some of the people that I work with more than the people at SPU last year, and I was there for like 9 months. I must have just let my guard down at work.....some of the people there are riots. I almost wish that school had been this fun.
