Ok well, let's not let this title fool you. I still cannot dance, but I am getting better. :-) I think I finally got over myself enough to realize that I suck, but the show must go on. Life isn't all that bad anymore, no time for stressing over Songfest. We had our second practice today, yippie.
So many exciting things going on.. I went out last night for the first time in forever. I happened to see a couple of interesting guys... one of which did tell me how lovely I looked. Ah, so refreshing. I also decided to ask him to formal b/c well, I wanted to. We'll see what happens with that.
Yay for public displays of affection! That was random. Anycrap, I had a great time. Lost a little sleep, but I made up for it with my 12 hours of sleep on Friday night.
This week will be one of those weeks where you just kind of anticipate the best. Monday is rather insane. In nursing, we're learning Cardiac... yes, the little thumper is quite complicated. Much to my disliking, our test is in a few weeks. Ack. So Monday will be consisted of heart info, practicing some Nasogastric tubing, math problems, eating lunch AT school, and several meetings. I never realized I'd be spending so much time AT school. *runs away* KA is having a 'gangsta' party tomorrow night, so that will be my reward if I make it through the day. I still need to 'make my t-shirt' tonight. It literally says 'IM A GANGSTA' ha-ha yay for creativity!!!
Wednesday is my last check off before I go to the hospital for clinical. Quite depressing, but exciting. I cannot WAIT to wear my beautiful white outfit again. So flattering. :-)
Tonight are the Oscars... Some actually wish life were more like the Oscars. For me, I don't think we need physical rewards to know we do great things. At the Oscars, you actually get rewarded in pounds of gold for the things you do with your life.. well, the things you pretend to do with your life. You work hard to create this character, many times that character is just a symbol of who we really want to be. We perform this great role. People enjoy the role that we play. We get all dressed up in clothes that could feed an entire third-world country. People applaud, stars cry, the night ends. Life goes on.
What does it all really mean in the end? I'll give ya a hint, some of the best roles in life get no gold rewards, but merely a smile from a passerby. Live life smiling, you just never know when it's time for action.
