Truck Sale Status: Guy's wife came to see it yesterday. They were supposed to write us a check this morning for $100, then pay the rest off on Friday. Today he's decided he wants his mechanic to see it and hear it run "personally". Wants to know how much it's going to cost to "fix the thing" before he buys it. Let me reiterate. I am selling a 1975 FORD PICKUP. The body is in great condition. It has the original toolbox on the side. It has a blown headgasket that costs MAYBE $100 to fix, and takes 45 minutes if you know what you are doing. I WANT TO KEEP THE TRUCK MYSELF, but WE NEED MONEY. IT PAINS ME to sell the truck because it's old dependable. And some moron is trying to scam me out of the little bit of money I am selling it for *when we've been told we shouldn't be selling it for less than twice that*.

I actually had someone who KNOWS what we've been going through ask me for $50 to pay THEIR WATER BILL yesterday.... someone who when I had money, I PAID THEIR WATER BILL so it wouldn't get shut off, and they never paid me back. Someone who two days ago when I called and asked for a ride because we had no fuel for the truck, told me 'they couldn't guarantee' they could take me anywhere.
