One of the frequent "bones of contention" with my kids is my behavior in public. They don't like it when I complain. If someone wants my money to fix me a meal and deliver it to me, I expect the food to meet minimum standards, the service to be at least polite, and for there to be no serious health issues. Don't give me cold food on a dirty plate delivered by a snarly waiter and expect I'm not going to say something; probably more than something. Ok, they're right when they say I could be a little quieter, but...well they do have a point, and I have improved, I think.
Anyway, yesterday I logged onto Havard's web site. I ordered two nightgowns and a shoulder bag. I proceeded to the checkout. I attempted to log in to my account. "we're sorry, that password is incorrect, please click on the password reminder bar". I clicked on the password reminder bar and typed in my e-mail, the same e-mail address they use to send me sale notices every fucking day. "We're sorry, no account exists for anyone at that e mail address." Ok, my mistake, perhaps I completed my one and only purchase (swimsuit) using a guest log in, so I clicked on "register new account" tab only to be told "we're sorry, that e-mail is already assigned to another customer". After about 15 minutes of going back and forth to determine I didn't make a mistake entering any information, I finally surrendered. I closed down the window without completing the purchase (since I couldn't anyway) and clicked on "unsubscribe". I do not feel like jumping through hoops for the honor and privilege of giving you my money so FUCK OFF!!.
