Yummy snacks are possible!!

I'm dieting, again. Same shit different day, except I'm focusing more on portion size and healthier choices than a severely restrictive diet. Don't get me wrong, those diets work very well, but they make me kind of crazy. I'm not sure why. I think it's because the body image changed too fast and the mind couldn't adjust, but for whatever reason, I couldn't stick with them for more than a month or two.

So once again I jump on the weight loss band wagon. I'm motivated as I have a plane to take next month. I can just barely make the requirements now, but I'll feel better a few pounds lighter. The problem is I LOVE chocolate, I need to eat frequently during the day and my client has the weirdest meal time schedule. I need some little snack bars to keep the potato chip and cookie monsters away.

I tried the Special K "protein" bars. They taste great, but with sugar listed as the first ingredient, not good for the long haul. I tried some of the diet bars from the pharmacy. I don't remember the brand but peanut flavored cardboard dipped in carob is not to my taste. I looked at the boxes of diet supplements at the 24 Hour Fitness Center, but I don't want to pay for a box and then find I can't stand the stuff, so I decided to try the Slim Fast and Atkins Diet meal bars and snacks.

OMG!! The Atkins stuff is wonderful!! I'm not on the Atkins Diet. From what I understand, it works, but I don't think a diet that high in saturated fat and cholesterol is good for a woman of my advancing years, but their Chocolate Chip Granola Bars and Nutty Fudge Brownies are to die for.
