Ugg, this sucks. So my mom called me last night and said that my grandpa has shingles, so my grandma can't come to the shower lynn's family is throwing us on Saturday...
For those of you who dont know, my grandpa has Merkel cell carcinoma. He had surgery, then chemo, now radiation, so getting sick is not good. So needless to say, my grandma can not leave him alone right now
I'm sad for two reasons. Obviously I dont want my grandpa to be sick!! But also, I'm really sad my grandma won't be here for the shower. I rarely have time from school where I can just relax with family, and I dont get to see her often, so her coming into town while I'm off school is incredible, especially for a fun occasion that won't happen again. She was supposed to arrive tomorrow.
The important thing is that she is with my grandpa so he can get better, because his health is a lot more important than a wedding shower, but I'm still sad that my grandma won't be here, because I was really looking forward to it
