That is disturbing.

It's disgusting. And they think their hate makes them look righteous.

It makes them look stupid.

Obviously they can't figure out the difference.

*small smile* Exactly.

*and the faintest of smiles in return, although he's still rather tense, and possibly a little pale-- when Gavin's angry, he's angry* Which kind of proves the point, since any reasonable person can see it clear as day.

Calm yourself, friend. Your anger does not help. *smiles gently*

*sighs* I know it doesn't. But every time I hear crap like this it gets harder to stand it.

I can understand.

May I ask you a personal question?

nursegavin May 18 2006, 23:31:09 UTC
Sure. What is it?

How long have you known you were gay? *blushes because he thinks it is a terribly nosy question*

*not bothered by the question at all, and is possibly vaguely amused at Armand's blush* . . . Since always? Sort of, anyway. I knew even as a kid that I wasn't interested in women the way others were. I just didn't know what it meant until I was older. I tried dating girls for a while, in high school, and after a while it got to be pretty obvious.

*is stilll very old-fashioned inside*

Ah. I still don't know if I'm attracted to men in general or just Christopher. I have loved a few women in my time. *sadly*

It's possible to prefer one gender, but still be interested in the other sometimes, too. I don't think it's really all as clear cut as just being gay, straight, or bi. There are in-betweens, too.

I am happy with the one person I have found. My biggest regret is that I always wanted children.

That's good. Not everyone can find someone they're happy to settle down with. *little smile* --You could always adopt. Back home, it was hard for two men to adopt a kid together, but there don't seem to be any discriminatory policies like that here.
