Goombella cautiously knocked on the door to the nurse's office. She had never been there before and wasn't sure what to expect. "Hello?" she asked.

"Hello, dear! Please, don't be shy, come in!" Catherine ushered her in with a friendly smile. "Is there anything I can do for you?"

"Oh, uh, not a lot," she insisted. "I just need a few new bandages... I got into a scuffle a little while ago and not all of my cuts are done healing..."

Well, that did it. Catherine worried over her like a mother hen.
"Oh, you poor dear! Sit down, sit down, let me take a look at you..."

Goombella did just as she was told, having a seat. She pulled up her sleeve and showed a couple of the cuts on her arm. "I've got another one right in the middle of my back too. It's so hard to get a bandage on..."

"Alright... this is nothing too major.. Hold on." The nurse got up to retrieve bandages and a disinfectant, and took her seat again, and got to work. "Do you mind my asking how this happened, dear? You don't quite look the fighting type."

"Well, me and Knuckles ended up running afoul of Marx," Goombella explained, wincing a bit as the disinfectant stung. "I got blasted in the face by an energy beam that Marx shot at me and went for a tumble down the street."
