well, well, well
So much stuff happening right now! I'm feeling overwhelmed and tired but also happy and content. A few new things, a few old things...
We (my mom and I) are closing on a house over at 76th and SE Evergreen (http://masl.to/?D25212C5E) that is so cute, with a great yard and space for a garden and chickens! I know some of you know about the ongoing struggles that I have in the relationship with my mother, but she's going to be living in the garage, which has been converted to a large studio apartment, so that should be pretty smooth. Max and Eva are excited about finally getting their own bedrooms, too.
Eva got a bunny for her birthday, due to finally living somewhere permanent. I will post pics soon, after I get some batteries for the digital. Max is getting a parakeet for Christmas. He really wanted a snake but after some research we felt a bird would be a better choice. We get to pick him up on the 20th.
Money, as always, continues to be a major thorn in my side but I'm working on it.
Mark and I are going strong. We're in some pretty serious discussion re: his drinking problem, but that's going pretty well also. It's certainly a challenge to be in love with someone with substance abuse issues, but I'm willing to work on it with him because he's worth it to me.
Max and Eva are great as always. Max's teacher wants to skip him into 6th next year (he's in a 4/5 split this year) but his dad and I said no way. I applied to have him tested for TAG so hopefully he'll get some more challenges thrown his way to alleviate boredom.
And, that's about it. I'm not looking forward to moving again but I'm glad it's to a place where I will be for some time. I hope everyone out there in intranet land is doing well and hope to see you at our house grand opening sometime around Easter!
