Something like that, but... more cultural.

In fact, books are much more important than roses; everyone gives one to loved ones (not only women to men).

In fact, every year, I give one to my mom and she gives one to me! (As my grandma gives one to her, and so on...)

It's brilliant! :D

But yes, it's a day to show your love for the people important to you :)
