Peoples' Law

Today at work I was thinking about how fantastic it would be if there were a free, open access legal database available, such as a Peoples' Law Wiki. I mean, cause before I had westlaw access I had so few resources for law issues. It is hard to google a motion to dismiss or get a straight answer on a legal issue, but law students, interns, and attorneys produce these documents on a daily basis. Why not take the names out of memos and motions, and pubish them somewhere free along with memorandums on specific legal questions?

I don't know if anything local like that exists, for New York laws, but I found this while google searching:

http://en.jurispedia.org/index.php/Main_Page

I might join and try to buck up the NY Law section. Laws change every day, but there are so many "basic" things out there that it seems like it could be a hugely beneficial thing

thoughts/ideas?

law wiki, criminal defense, law school
